RN to MSN - American Sentinel University

American Sentinel University is offering the Direct Registered Nurse (RN) to Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) option for registered nurses with an associate degree in nursing and at least two years of experience. This allows nurses to earn a Master of Science in Nursing without earning a baccalaureate degree.
Students complete 18 credits of baccalaureate level nursing courses and 3 credits of Professional Communication. Students must achieve a 3.0 in each of these courses. The students will then fill out a graduate application and apply to our MSN program. Students who are not able to achieve a 3.0 in each of the nursing courses, but do have a 2.5 cumulative GPA will be allowed to complete the Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) sequence and then apply separately to the Masters Degree in Nursing program.
The nurse will be able to complete his/her Masters Degree with 21 undergraduate credits and 36 graduate credits, thus accelerating the attainment of an advanced practice degree in either Nursing Management and Organizational Leadership, Case Management, Nursing Education, or Nursing Informatics.
