Diploma: Medical Assisting - Beckfield College

In response to industry demand for appropriately trained personnel, the Medical Assisting Diploma program provides graduates with specialized clinical training and associated administrative skills.

Clinical Skills Instruction:

• Applying the principles of aseptic technique and infection control
• Recording vital signs
• Assisting with patient examinations
• Processing specimens
• Basic diagnostic testing

Administrative Skills Instruction:

• Scheduling appointments
• Processing medical records
• Insurance verification

Graduates are prepared for entry level medical assisting positions in physicians practices and other outpatient facilities.

This program is fully transferable into the Beckfield Colleges Associate of Applied Science in Medical Assisting degree program.
