Diploma: Medical Office Technology - Beckfield College

The Beckfield College Medical Office Technology diploma program is designed to prepare graduates for entry level administrative positions in the medical industry. Graduates will possess strong office skills combined with the basic understanding of medical administrative duties including:

• Patient scheduling
• Daily management of patient accounts
• Insurance verification
• Medical Records Processing

Students in the last quarter of this program are required to complete an externship. The externship will require the student to work 90 hours under the direct supervision of qualified personnel at a health care facility, and under general supervision of instructors.

This program is fully transferable into Beckfield Colleges Associate of Applied Science in Health Information Technology degree program.
