Medical Assistant - Star Career Academy / Culinary Academy / Quad Schools-Career
Star provides the necessary grounding in clinical and administrative procedures used by entry-level Medical Assistants. This program prepares students to work in hospitals, clinics, doctor's offices and other health care settings. Throughout training, students learn the basics of anatomy, physiology and pathology along with current medical terminology. To improve employment prospects, students also learn important communications and human relations skills and are taught the professional, legal and ethical standards expected of today's health care worker. A 200-hour externship in a working health care facility provides the hands-on practice and experience needed for permanent employment readiness.
