Shorter University

Founded in 1873, Shorter University is a private liberal arts college with a legacy of academic excellence and a dynamic Christian heritage. The Shorter College, School of Professional Programs, allows working adults to complete a college degree while continuing to work full-time. Students attend just one class per week at times that fit their schedule. Classes are taught by practitioner faculty and are kept small to ensure a lively interactive learning experience.

Shorter University has been ranked a "Best Southeastern College" and a "Best Value College" as named by the Princeton Review in its 2008 rankings. This marks the fourth year Shorter has been included in the Princeton Review's best-of lists. For the seventh consecutive year, Shorter University has been included in the U.S. News & World Report 2008 "Americas Best Colleges" rankings, which placed Shorter among the South's top baccalaureate colleges."
