State Scholarship and Grant Programs

Each state may offer its own grant and scholarship programs. Some are based on demonstrated financial need, some are based on other types of special characteristics (e.g., grades and/or test scores) and some are focused on particular occupations (e.g., teaching and nursing).

Most require the applicant to file the FAFSA by a specific state deadline. Some states have additional application forms and requirements.
