As the last-born of a set of triplets, I’ve always embraced the energy of competition and teamwork, which is why I am passionate about sport management. I recently completed my first year at Grand Valley State University, finishing strong with a 3.6 GPA and earning a spot on the Dean’s List. This scholarship is an incredible opportunity that will ease my financial burden, allowing me to focus on my academic and career goals. Since no new antibiotics have been discovered since the 1980s, I feel an urgency to contribute to public health by partaking in a new discovery of antibiotics.
