What is FAFSA®

The information provided on the FAFSA  is used by a school to assess a student’s financial need and to determine their eligible for federal student aid. Federal student aid includes federal grants, work-study, and federal student loans. Many states also require the FAFSA to award state financial aid, and your school may also use it to determine institutional awards for students.
