Reporting to the Director of Product, this position plays a pivotal role in supporting the content strategy, evaluating and improving content usability, incorporating SEO updates and best practices, managing content tools and assets, and creating content that provides valuable information to students, parents, families, and educators. This role also helps the business remain compliant by revising client furnished content/ad copy on applicable Edvisors websites.
Create, update, publish, and maintain web content in our content management systems (CMSs).
Facilitate review and sign-off process with Compliance Department
Train new and existing users on features and functionality of the tools for building and managing content.
Serve as department product owner/subject matter expert for the Sitecore and Expression Engine content management systems; act as liaison between Product, Content, Marketing, and IT/Development teams.
Build a practice that provides transparency into the content management process and evolves with the business
Monitor and audit content; remedy website problems controlled within to CMS or escalate issues.
Create and manage company style guides for internal and external writers.
Collaborate with Marketing and Development to maintain and improve SEO indicators, update content to meet SEO needs as outlined through other tools (SEM Rush, Google Webmaster tools)
Ensure that content is aligned with the style, quality, and tone of voice of our brand; meets Compliance and regulatory guidelines; and is optimized for targeted messaging, relevance, SEO, and user experience.
Recommend and champion best practices for making complex topics like paying for college easy for stakeholders to understand and utilize on our multiple websites.
Identify needs for new content (articles, illustrations, videos, etc.) within the business.
Research topics and develop ideas for original content that can be used across a strategic mix of channels.
Support content and marketing efforts by procuring, overseeing, and managing visual assets, including image rights and logo usage.
Maintain a working knowledge of all Edvisors site structures, information architecture and goals of each site; provide key input on redirection and restructuring as needed for any site shutdowns.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE:
3+ years of progressive experience in content management across multiple platforms and channels)
Experience working and managing the content process across multiple teams and individuals
Writing. grammatical and editing skills with strong attention to quality and style and the ability to adapt content to different audiences
Excellent organizational, prioritization, and project management skills, with impeccable attention to detail
Training skills, the ability to collaborate with colleagues in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience in Marketing, Business, English, journalism, communications, or a related field
Aptitude with Content Management Systems (CMS), such as Sitecore or equivalent system
Strong writing skills and the ability to edit
Thorough knowledge of grammar rules
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Visio
Knowledge of basic HTML and CSS
Some experience with Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, and InDesign a plus
