Online Marketing Specialist – PPC/CRO
JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Director of Performance Marketing, the Online Marketing Specialist manages offer wall performance and optimization for the ScholarshipPoints product, runs PPC promotions and works with the Marketing team to build SEM campaigns and CRO experiments.
Develop and execute comprehensive PPC campaigns using Google Adwords.
Manage contextual PPC networks, build out keyword lists for SEO/SEM, place and confirm tracking pixels, and furnish reporting on costs to acquire.
Develop and execute Social Media campaigns (including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google+) to increase client ROI.
Provide recommendations regarding the proper channel(s) to obtain desired campaign results.
Aggregate data from software usage and marketing campaigns, present findings, and prepare performance evaluations and recommendations for optimization.
Research new digital marketing opportunities and present findings to marketing and development teams.
Discuss digital marketing goals with followers, initiatives, and be able to build out a plan to accomplish company goals.
Set up baseline tracking and advanced analytics tracking for our web properties, campaigns and other initiatives as needed.
Provide weekly updates on performance metrics to key business stakeholders.
Manage advertiser/offer budgets
Communicate with advertisers regarding traffic expectations, negotiate offer payouts, and provide reporting
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE:
At least one year of experience managing PPC or similar campaigns
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
High aptitude in keyword analysis – including negative keywords
Strong analytical capabilities: Must be able to manage a variety of affiliate offers to maximize ROI keeping in mind: demographic filtering, budgets, conversion rate optimization, A/B testing copy and graphics.
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a related discipline
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Skilled in utilizing Google AdWords
Proficient in HTML and CSS
Adept in Google Analytics
Familiarity with the following tools/software: HasOffers (or comparable affiliate tracking software), Google AdWords, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Optimizely (or comparable multivariate testing platform)
Working knowledge of SEO principals and best practices
