How Much Do Student Loans Cost?

The terms interest rates and APR (Annual Percentage Rate) are often used interchangeable.  However, they are in fact different.  Interest rate refers to the cost of a loan to a borrower expressed as a percent, while APR is the annual cost of loan (including fees) also expressed as a percent.  APR can be higher than the interest rate when fees are involved.
